70% WOMEN-OWNED WINE BRANDS TO DOMINATE THE LOCAL WINE EXPO

J9, Libby’s Pride and Nanola wines are among the women-owned brands to treat your palate at the Local Wine Expo.

One of Proudly SA’s core offerings to member companies is access to market opportunities. A business’s success relies on having access to a market that consumes or buys its products and services. Local wine brands dominating the retail space will preserve the value chain, help keep, and create jobs that the South African society desperately needs.

The Local Wine Expo will take place at the Prison Break Market on 13, 14, and 15 July 2023, and it is one of the many access-to-market opportunities that Proudly SA prides itself in offering to the member companies within the establishment. Proudly SA endeavours to boost job creation by supporting local winemakers and equipping them with the necessary tools they require for their businesses to thrive and co-exist with other long-standing brands already in the retail shops for years.

70% of the local wine expo exhibitors are female, which is commendable for a historically male-dominated industry. This representation highlights the remarkable strides made by women in an industry historically dominated by men and provides an empowering platform to foster inclusivity and equality.

The South African wine industry has made an undeniable mark in the international market when it comes to wine production and our wines are revered the world over and that’s a cause for celebration! According to an article by Further Africa, South Africa accounts for half the tonnage that Africa produces, making it Africa’s largest wine producer and ninth in the world.

Ten local wine brands under the umbrella of The Wine Arc, an initiative by the Wine Industry Transformation Unit (SAWITU) will also be exhibiting at the Local Wine Expo. This initiative serves as a vehicle for local wine brands to grow a strong business platform and gives them access to markets and e-commerce facilities.

Uncork with us and have a taste of the best of our local wines from women-owned local wine brands; J9wine, Randela Wine, Mzansi Craft Wine, Lavo Wines, Nandzu wines, Ayana Wines, Luc Mo Wines, Yethu Wines, Absolute Style Wines, Nanola Wines, African Roots Wines, Sesfikile Wines, Amile Wines, M’HUDI Wines, Lali Wines, Aslina Wines, Bayede Wines, Carmen Stevens Wines, PaardenKloof Estate, The Bridge of Hope and Libby’s Pride Wines.

Amari Lush, Giovanni MCC, Rockbelt Ridge, Landzicht Wines, Mama Afrika Wines, Diemersfontein Wines, La RicMal Wines and Zoetendal Vineyards will also be at the exhibition to keep the cheers and great companies going.

Attendees of the Local Wine Expo will have the opportunity to engage with these exceptional wine exhibitors, learn about their unique winemaking techniques, and savour a beautiful array of fine wines.
