Corner Dladla Pizzeria

When Kgomotso Motshegoa walked into a Northgate pizza restaurant in 2009 where he was given the freedom to create his own pizza, that gave him the idea to offer a similar service in the township where he grew up.

He then started Corner Dladla Pizzeria, which was born to offer people from eKasi mouth-watering pizza prepared in a unique way in as short a time as possible. This was important to him because he saw the ridiculous queues at townships takeaway restaurant at the end of each month. Through their participation at the Delicious Festival, Corner Dladla reached a broader clientele some of whom went on to be loyal customers at his Protea North store.

“Delicious Fest also helped give us financial leeway to expand the business and to get a food truck which allowed us to be mobile and to take our business to different market,” says Kgomotso.
