We have all heard the word localisation being used in various forms but what does it mean and how will it impact the lives ordinary South Africans.
Proudly South African in partnership with the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) will host a webinar on the 24th of April, under the topic “What does localisation mean”. This topic is an integral part of the Buy Local campaign which is Proudly South African’s core mandate.
Localisation plays a critical role in job creation and economic stimulation; this is why, the dtic and Proudly SA seek to educate people about the meaning of Localisation for all South Africans through the webinar.
The dtic’s ‘What does localisation mean’ webinar aligns with Proudly SA’s aim which is to encourage South Africans to buy locally produced products and services mainly to stimulate the local economic growth and job creation.
Through the webinar, The dtic hopes to give a clearer and more practical picture of localisation in which the public will be able to engage with industry leaders on the challenges, lessons learnt and the success stories of localisation.
